After photographing, listing, and filing music cassette tapes until my eyes are crossed, I’m devoting tomorrow to a big change of pace – sorting and cataloging computer cassette tapes! I’m just about to start the big database build and collection shakeout for the TI 99/4A that I did a couple weeks back for my Commodore Vic 20 and Apple II stations in the War Room.
Any collector who’s also a trader or seller has that dance they do between letting pricey things go, deciding how granular to get in their completism, and drawing a line of what must stay on the shelves no matter what. This struggle has informed my retro gear collecting since day one.
