I haven’t had a busy weekend in a while, and boy, is my perspective tired!

My son is home and our shared schedule has been hectic. Last night we went to a holiday music program put on by his old school.  Today’s agenda was breakfast with visiting family, six hours roundtrip to Cincinnati to pick up some computer gear, a quick sandwich, and then up to Adrian, Michigan, 45 minutes away, to catch the opening of The Spongebob Musical.

[Quick review: astonishing and unbelievable.  I did not expect a show of that size and caliber and I left with a huge smile on my face.  Go see it!  And holy crap, the Croswell Opera House, the oldest currently operating theater in Michigan, is a beautiful sight to behold.]

Tomorrow is busier – we’re driving to Chicago for an overnight stay, another concert, and Sunday brunch with family friends.  I’m in the eye of the storm right now, writing this column to justify a beer and some late-night snacks before bed.  There are worse reasons to eat salami and Ritz crackers.
