Striving for high scores in real life is exhausting
I blocked a new customer today on Mercari after a pleasant and successful three-dollar transaction. This is what I would say to him if it made sense to do so:
Thanks for the order! I gather from the positive feedback, and the additional note you took the time to send, that you found the product to be satisfactory, shipped quickly and well, and a value for your money. That’s what I’m shootin’ for!
But then you left me four stars. Out of five. And that shouldn’t matter one bit, but it really does.
