The last time I used my turntable, music only came out of one of the speakers.  I reached behind the receiver, jiggled things hopefully, tried to resocket whatever might have become unsocketed – no dice.  I switched back to the CD player, and everything was fine.  I just assumed a cable had gone bad and made a mental note to grab a new one at some point.

Tonight, starting on a monthly goal of getting a bunch of records listed and filed, I threw the Taking Meds album on and hit play, figuring I’d at least get to hear it in one speaker.  It’s playing fine, in living stereo.  I did nothing to fix anything and here we are.
